How System Language is Determined for Participants
In LiveWebinar, ensuring your attendees receive communication in a language they understand is key to a professional experience. Here is how our system determines and applies language settings for your participants.
How does the system decide which language to use for an attendee?
The language for a participant is determined at the moment of their first interaction with the system. For example, if a user with the email [email protected] registers for an event, the system detects their preferred language based on their browser settings.
If the browser is set to English, the participant is tagged as an English speaking user in our database. From that point forward, the majority of automated system communications will be sent to them in English.
Are all emails sent in the attendee's detected language?
Most system notifications follow the detected language, but there is one major exception: Invitations.
- Invitations: These are sent based on the language selected by the organizer/inviter at the time of sending, regardless of the recipient's previous settings.
- Other Communications: Registration confirmations, reminders, and follow-ups will typically follow the language assigned to the user's profile during their first registration.
