The ideal day and time to hold your webinar can have a significant impact on its effectiveness. They're becoming increasingly popular since they serve as a means of building a solid and loyal audience, making them more valuable than ever. Therefore, it is essential to consider a variety of factors and ask yourself a number of questions before planning and launching a webinar. But in this post, we would like to focus on one question that often comes up a lot: When is the best time for a webinar?

The best day and time for your webinar will require some experimentation. In spite of this, there are some days when a webinar is more suitable than others due to people's schedules. So, what exactly days and times are we talking about? Let’s meet our types!

Do proper time & day matter?

To begin with, you should realize that you might have potential customers signing up from every corner of the globe, let alone the country. To begin with, you should realize that you might have potential customers signing up from every corner of the globe, let alone the country. Look at the data in your CRM to see where your customers are located. Your attendance rates and (ultimately) sales conversions can be significantly affected by time zones and cultural differences. Taking everyone's Monday-Friday, 9-5 working schedule for granted is a mistake. In addition to ignoring time zones, this also ignores cultural differences. Accordingly, the "best" day and time for your webinar depends on where your audience is located.  And that’s why you need to know your audience is different. In the end, you do host webinars for them, right?

A webinar's effectiveness begins with proper planning. It should be timed and executed correctly and not left to chance. Even though you don't know if timing affects your webinar's attendance, it does matter.

A day

Without extending, the best days for webinars are Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, as thousands of webinars were analyzed and data were obtained from webinar participants. In other words, it’s the middle of the week. However, the most popular webinars take place on Thursday, among these three days.

In general, attendance tends to be low on the first and last day of the workweek. The first day is often overwhelmed with the upcoming week. On the other hand, on Friday, people spend winding down and thinking about the weekend.

Even though it's common knowledge that the best time to schedule a webinar is midweek, it appears the most popular day to attend a webinar has changed since many of us began working remotely. Last year, many of us also liked to participate in events at the start of the week so that we had plenty of time to catch up on other work during the rest of the week.

But like we said, things have changed. Today, Tuesday, is the most popular day to attend a webinar (32%), followed by Wednesday (29%). The trend is a noticeable shift from last year when nearly one in four respondents named Thursday their favorite day for webinars. Following were Tuesdays (23%) and Wednesdays (20%).

The popularity of webinars on weekends has also declined in the COVID-19 era, perhaps due to fatigue brought on by the blurring of work and family life: we want more time on weekends and in our personal lives.

So the results of studies indicate Tuesday and Wednesday are the best days to host a webinar, even though webinar organizers continue to schedule their webinars on other days. But according to Redback Connect data, people usually hold webinars on Wednesdays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays.

An hour

It is crucial to determine what time is best for webinars. Generally, people prefer to attend online events around mid-morning when it comes to the time of day. Mid-morning is when people can handle urgent tasks first and then focus on the event to ensure they can absorb the maximum amount of information.

But in most cases, scheduling a webinar is not as simple as picking among these available timeslots. For example, if your target audience is spread across several time zones, even several countries, the task of selecting the best time to do a webinar becomes complicated. If you want to solve this dilemma, pick a time of day that includes most of your audience during one of the above times.

Say you are able to draw a decent audience for your webinar if you schedule it during the middle of the week at 11 a.m. Furthermore, you could schedule it between 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. But, then, it occurs the best time to have a webinar is just before or after the lunch hour - no matter what, do not schedule it precisely during the lunch hour, as the lunch hour is the employees' free time, so they cannot attend.

After looking over all of this information, you need to understand that these time periods are generally defined. It means every audience is unique, and you need to consider it when planning a perfect timing. After all, you can always ask your target when they want a webinar to be held. Make polls and surveys and set the perfect day and time with them.

Regions

So yes, you know that it all was general information. Now, take a look at specific regions. It’s essential, as different continents have different populations. Employees work in another way than the others. That’s why you may want to know more about specific continents:

The USA

The statistical sweet spot for The USA is the 11 am to 2 pm time frame. Webinars within that time frame have the highest attendance rates, with the overall attendance rate being in the mid-20% range. You are at a disadvantage if you hold a webinar on a Monday or Friday in the USA. Your best bet would be Tuesday or Thursday.

Europe

If you're addressing European audiences, you'll want to start a little earlier (according to their time zones). We recommend 8 am to 11 am for the best results. You could also choose midweek if you're targeting European audiences.

Asia

A magical period occurs from 2 pm to 4 pm. Remember, Asia is a vast continent that spans many time zones, so keep in mind that these are aggregate numbers. Further, in India, where tech-savvy entrepreneurs have no shortage of business opportunities, Sunday is an off day, but Saturdays are still treated as part of the workweek.

Austalia

Americans and Australians aren't that different when it comes to their webinar attendance habits. As an example, 10 am to 12 am is the best time for a webinar, and Tuesdays and Thursdays are the best days for webinars.

Perfect timing has its benefits

When you choose your time correctly, you will benefit greatly. If you attract more attendees, your chances of success increase. After all, you are investing energy and money into a webinar, so you want it to be successful. Furthermore, remember that more participants equal more outstanding results. What's the reason? Because webinars are becoming an increasingly powerful tool for businesses across a range of sectors today. A well-planned and effectively delivered webinar can increase engagement among your audience.

Final words

In conclusion, Tuesday and Wednesday are the best days to hold a webinar. Nevertheless! Don't be afraid to have your webinars on Mondays or Fridays. Your audience decides on the best webinar time since their work and region are all important factors determining their presence. Just find out who your audience is and speak with them. Additionally, you will find an audience if you create engaging content and make it available during the week. Furthermore, if you want, you can always create a survey and ask your audience when they would like to attend the webinar. Just let them speak!
